Finance Officer – Central Team

37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET Days

Contract type: Permanent

Salary:  Grade E4 – £19,554 per annum (pro rata)

Actual Salary:  Approx. £16,950 per annum

ELAN became a Multi Academy Trust on the 1st October 2017 with a Central Team that provides support to eight primary schools and over 3,000 pupils in the Weston and Worle area.

An exciting opportunity has been created for a suitably experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small and friendly team currently based at Bournville Primary School.

Under the supervision of the Finance Manager, you will be required to work along with a colleague on the day-to-day financial administration for the Trust within the Central Team.  The role is the first point of contact with schools, suppliers and external organisations for all matters relating to finance.

You will be responsible for the accurate processing of invoices, income and the production of weekly BACS runs on behalf of the Trust.   To be considered for this role you should have good interpersonal skills and a friendly manner.

 We require an enthusiastic and proactive individual to fill the position of Caretaker to act as an integral part of the school team, and as such to contribute to the overall aims of the school.

You will need to have excellent people skills, be good at verbal and written communication, time management and problem solving, as well as being self-motivated and flexible and will be able to work within agreed policies and procedures. This position will have keyholder responsibility.

Under the leadership of the Headteacher you will have some responsibility for opening and closing the school premises on agreed days and general caretaking duties as to the preventative maintenance of the school buildings and grounds. Delivery of these services must meet the statutory requirements essential for a hygienic, healthy and safe school environment.
